The Stacks perform a rendition of Blind Alfred Reed’s 1929 tune of the Great Depression, “How Can a Poor Man Stand Such Times and Live?”.
We’re just 16 years shy of this tune being a century old, but as all great tunes you’ll notice how the words still apply today.
Reed had the ability to play fiddle and sing at the same time, which is also a skill that Tania Elizabeth has perfected. Contact Chestnut House Concerts soon if you’d like to attend the June 19th show.
