David Jacobs-Strain – May 12, 2018

This photo captures musician David Jacobs-Strain well.  Many of his songs are about his beloved home state of Oregon.  He’s one of the best slide guitar players of his generation. His cap reads “Make biscuits, not war”. How could anyone disagree with that?  We still have a few seats left for the show at 7:00 pm on May 12, 2018. There is an optional potluck at 6:00 pm prior to the show. There may or may not be biscuits.

Kaia Kater on World Cafe with David Dye

Kaia Kater performed at Chestnut House Concerts on August 22, and the next day she headed to Philadelphia for an interview with David Dye on World Cafe.  Below is the recording of that interview.  What a great show Kaia presents! We hope she can return to Lancaster soon.

On Sunday, October 16, David Jacobs-Strain will be performing with Bob Beach. There will be a potluck at 6 pm and music begins at 7.  Some refer to David’s music as blues – if that’s true, there’s never been blues that make a listener so happy.
